Revisions to the LCAP and/or the 2015-16 Budget may then be made in consideration of any feedback from the Public Hearings. The LCAP Adoption and 2015-16 Budget Adoption will then take place at the regularly scheduled Board Meeting on June 25, 2015.
Per Education Code (EC) Sections 42127 and 52062, two separate Governing Board public meetings, held at least one day apart, are now required for the school district budget hearing and budget adoption. In addition, the LCAP public hearing must occur at the same meeting as the budget hearing and the LCAP adoption must occur at the same meeting as the budget adoption. The LCAP item must precede the budget item at each meeting. The public hearings require 72 hours public notice and both the 2015-16 budget and LCAP must be adopted on or before July 1, 2015.
