Special Education

Introduction

In accordance with Section 1401(29) of Title 20 of the United States Code, the BUSD is committed to providing specially designed instruction to meet the unique needs of individuals with exceptional needs that cannot be met with modifications of the general education instructional program.  We provide a Free and Appropriate Public Education (FAPE) with a full range of services for students with a disability from 3 years of age, through adult transition.

The Bonsall Unified School District (BUSD) is a member of the North Coastal Consortium for Special Education (NCCSE) Special Education Local Planning Agency (SELPA).  We encourage our families to access free training and information through the  NCCSE Community Advisory Committee (CAC).  For more information please contact the CAC Parent Liaison at 760-761-5120.

CAC provides parents information on special education topic, resources for families, and opportunities to meet with other parents to exchange resources, information, and ideas.
