Special Education
Introduction
The Bonsall Unified School District Special Education Department assists general education and special education teachers, administrators, paraprofessionals, and parents in meeting the needs of students with disabilities. We lead and support school district employees with compliance required by the State and Federal law while building effective special programs with embedded evidence-based practices. We believe in building capacity among all staff in promoting access to General Education as the building block for success from Pre-K through Adult Transition. Our programs range from Mild/Mod to Mod/Sev Disabilities programs.
The Bonsall Unified School District (BUSD) Special Education Department is committed to ensure that all children with disabilities have available to them a Free and Appropriate Public Education (FAPE) that emphasizes special education and related services designed to meet the unique needs and prepare them for further education, employment, and independent living.
The Bonsall Unified School District (BUSD) is a member of the North Coastal Consortium for Special Education (NCCSE) Special Education Local Planning Agency (SELPA).
